Bond Pet Inc. makes a leap into the world of cats
The Granby Company is proud to launch a range of new highly secure, hypoallergenic and antimicrobial collars.
Granby, May 11, 2020 — After months of research and development, the team of industrial designers at Bond Pet inc., is proud to present the first collar specifically designed for the safety and well-being of cats. The number of households with a cat has increased significantly in the past 20 years, going from 25% to 33% reaching two million cats in Quebec alone. Such growth made it an easy decision to add cat collars to the company product line.
Our design team worked closely with the shelter team of the only Quebec university specializing in animal health. Through this collaboration the Nuvuq cat collar was tested and refined, over a three-month period, on cats of all different sizes, coat lengths and even with cats who had skin problems.
“Building on the success of our dog collars, we wanted to offer cat lovers a collar that addressed a number of issues with collars on the market today. Our Nuvuq collar improves safety, comfort and longevity as a result of our unique soft material being less irritating, slightly elastic and long lasting as it will not fray. The collar includes an innovative metal hook "breakaway" mechanism that optimizes animal safety, "said Jean-Christian Roy, co-owner of Bond Pet inc.

Designed and manufactured entirely in Quebec, the Nuvuq indoor / outdoor collar for cats made of high quality thermoplastic elastomer is durable, washable, antibacterial and hypoallergenic. Soft and light (7 g), the Nuvuq cat collar will be available in three colors when it launches in April.
